2019 Holiday Parades in Northern NY

‹ All Posts

It’s (almost) everyone’s favorite time of the year, and the communities in Northern New York get in the holiday spirit with their annual holiday parades. This year we had multiple DAVs take part, helping businesses stand out and spread their message, while our team rode hoverboards and handed out candy to all in attendance!

The first parade was on December 5th in Watertown, NY. Watertown Savings Bank and DAV lead the way as the parade marched through the Public Square.

It was snowing pretty hard the next day, but that didn’t stop anyone. We took DAV to Carthage, NY to show off Carthage Auto Repair & KB Bubbles, while the team handed out candy.

On Saturday, December 7th, we had the largest parade of the three. Not one, but two DAVs got to represent a business for this one! Every year, the Clayton Chamber of Commerce puts on quite the show. Not only does it bring the Town of Clayton together, but people from surrounding areas come as well.

One DAV towed the float for Watertown Savings Bank, while scenes from various yet popular Christmas movies were playing on the screens (rotating with a holiday message). The second DAV was displaying messages for Sundance Leisure, a store that provides high-quality pools, hot tubs, fireplaces, and more! Closing the parade was a fireworks display over the St. Lawrence River. Although our DAVs were not there to witness the fireworks display, they were still a great way to end the night!

See some photos of DAV and the team in action!
